„Rotary meets Rotaract” ist mittlerweile ein fester und liebgewonnener Bestandteil des rotarischen Kalenders des Distrikts 1842. Am 26. Oktober (Ab 19 Uhr im Impact Hub München, Gotzinger Str. 8) steht dabei neben Networking und dem Brückenbauen zwischen den beiden Familienmitgliedern Rotaract und Rotary wieder soziales Engagement im Vordergrund. So bietet dieser Rahmen die besten Voraussetzungen, einem weiteren Herzensprojekt im Rotaract-Kosmos eine Bühne zu geben.
In diesem Jahr steht „Project Ocean“ und damit der Meeresschutz im Fokus. Die Initiative, gegründet vom Rotaract Club München setzt sich für die Aufklärung, Wissensvermittlung und Hands-on-Aktionen zum Schutz der Ozeane ein. Im Rahmen von „Rotary meets Rotaract” wird daraus ein interaktives Event, das die Möglichkeiten zum Austausch sowie der Auseinandersetzung mit diesem wichtigen Thema ermöglicht. Gleichzeitig werden durch das Event Spenden zur Unterstützung von Meeresschutz-Projekten gesammelt.
Folgende Programmpunkte werden geboten:
- – Eröffnungsrede von Governor Nikolai Ehlers und Distriktsprecherin Viktoria Čaržavec
- – Vortrag durch Prof. Dr. Dušan Palić, Lehrstuhlinhaber für Fischkrankheiten und Fischereibiologie (LMU München)
- – Infostände durch Meeresschutz Organisationen
- – Afterparty mit DJ und Drinks

“Rotary meets Rotaract” has become an integral part of the Rotarian calendar in District 1842. On October 26 (starting at 7 p.m. at Impact Hub Munich, Gotzinger Str. 8), the focus will once again be on social engagement, networking, and building bridges between the two family members, Rotaract and Rotary. This is the perfect setting to showcase another of Rotaract’s heartfelt projects.
This year, the focus is on “Project Ocean” and the protection of the oceans. The initiative, founded by the Rotaract Club Munich, is dedicated to education, knowledge transfer, and hands-on actions to protect the oceans. The “Rotary meets Rotaract” event will be an interactive opportunity to network and discuss this important topic. The event will also raise funds to support ocean conservation projects.
The program will include:
- – Opening remarks by District Governor Nikolai Ehlers and District Speaker Viktoria Čaržave
- – Lecture by Prof. Dr. Dušan Palić, Chair of Fish Diseases and Fisheries Biology (LMU Munich)
- – Information booths of marine conservation organizations
